About the Winery
Longridge is a terroir-led estate where ancient decomposed granite soils, cool Helderberg aquifers and Atlantic mist shape wines of clarity and place. We work in harmony with nature through biodynamic practices, no pesticides or herbicides, and a living ecosystem of ducks, Nguni cattle and beneficial predators that keep the vineyards balanced and healthy. The result is vibrant, expressive fruit grown with care and conviction. In the cellar, intervention is minimal. We use less sulphur dioxide and avoid commercial yeasts, enzymes, fining agents and filtration, relying on natural fermentation. Wines are matured in concrete eggs, clay amphorae and French oak.
