Shipping Wine From South Africa — Our Direct Cellar Door Access Service
If you’re travelling in South Africa, visiting partner cellar doors and buying wine, we will now ship your purchases home the smart way. Wines purchased and paid in full will be stored at cellar door, consolidated with our regular exports, and delivered directly to your Australian address.
How It Works (Simple 6-Step Process)
1. Buy Wine at any one of our partner Cellar Doors online, transacting in AUD converted from ZAR and including all applicable freight and importation costs.
2. Your Purchase will be registered with us, as well as the cellar door. All 3 parties will receive your name, email, Australian delivery address, and a copy of your wine receipt.
3. Cellar door will prepare the stock for export and store until notification from us.
4. Transit Time - Sea freight takes around 6–8 weeks to reach Australia, and generally transits via Singapore.
5. Home Delivery - Once cleared through customs, your wines are sent from our Australian warehouse in Sydney straight to your door.
Please note that shipping timeframes are estimates and may vary due to freight schedules or customs delays.

✔ Customs & biosecurity clearance
✔ Import duties & taxes
✔ Insurance to the Sydney warehouse
Communication & Tracking
Sea freight doesn’t have live tracking, but we will keep you updated when:
- Your wines arrive at our Cape Town warehouse
- Your shipment departs
- Your shipment arrives in Australia
- Your wines are out for final delivery
Important Notes
This service is for personal-use wine only, not commercial quantities.
Someone 18+ must be available to receive the delivery in Australia.
Delivery timelines are much longer than courier or airfreight shipping due to consolidation and sea freight.
We cannot accept returns for change of mind on international shipments.
